Building on the success of Pimple TV, Tom Hickmore worked with co-writer Paul Sinclair to devise a selection of short novelty clips for mobile phones. Five characters were manifested as floating heads on a black ground. This graphically strong device also served to keep file sizes small. The simple technique allowed us to film 70 short video clips in a day. Perhaps the most successful character is the Funky Sage, played by Brighton-based human beatbox Beardyman.
