"'Reptile Day' is a blissful slice of retro nonsense; kinda like 'Sin City' if Frank Miller had a sense of humour…"

"So full of creative new techniques it positively fizzes off the screen at you (…) a piece of perfect kitsch escapism"

Wrote Ben Blaine on the website Shooting People.

To date. Reptile Day has shown in 22 festivals, won best edit, best in festival twice, been nominated for a Méliès d’or and received "honourable mention" as well as special jury mention for "the creation of an amazingly original type of film."

Reptile Day is a short sci-fi comedy thriller about shape-shifting lizards from the fifth dimension, written and directed by Nice Media’s Tom Hickmore.

Using bluescreen, actors were put into a cartoon world drawn by comic-book genius, D’Israeli. This was further enhanced with a portfolio of low-budget techniques to create a ‘living cartoon’. Here you see a short excerpt from the 12 minute film.

The film was produced for the international festival circuit, and is designed to promote a feature film project.
